Here are some updates of projects from WCID #12:
Vivian St Plant Contract
Notice to Proceed is March 28 with a completion date of July 25, 2016. The construction bid amount is $397,469 which includes the rehabilitation of the existing well with the addition of chloramine disinfection and site improvements (driveways, sidewalks, and fencing).
Completion of Kipp St Lift Station
Contractor is addressing the final Punch List items which should be completed the week of March 21. The lift station is operational. The original construction bid amount was $745,400 and the final construction cost is $715,978.
Water Line With City of Kemah
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) waterline project is under design along with the force main. This project is located along Kipp Street from 10th Street to Bel Road.
2094 Lift Station Upgrade
The concrete for the foundations have been placed and structural steel for the generator platform should be one site and under construction by the first week in April. The notice to proceed for this project was March 14 with a completion date of July 1. The bid amount is $205,844. This project is for the installation of an emergency generator for the District’s lift station located at FM 2094 and FM 146.
Water Storage Update from GCWS
The Gulf Coast Water Authority has installed the new water valves at the District’s ground storage tank (GST). These valves will allow for a constant rate of flow into the District’s GST.
Update on City of Kemah Sewer System
The remaining sanitary sewer rehabilitation will be included in an upcoming District 12 project (most likely the waterline project along FM 518).
